1. Scope
These GTC apply to all contracts regarding the temporary rental of hotel rooms for accommodation purposes as well as all additional services provided by the hotel (hereinafter referred to as the “Hotel”). By making a booking (online, by telephone, or by e-mail), the guest accepts these conditions.
2. Conclusion of Contract and Contractual Partners
- Direct booking: The contract is concluded upon acceptance of the customer’s request by the Hotel (booking confirmation).
- Tour operators: For bookings made through tour operators, the tour operator shall be considered the contractual partner unless brokerage on behalf of the end customer has been expressly agreed.
- Deposit: The Hotel is entitled to request a deposit to secure the booking.
3. Prices, Services & Local Tax
- Prices include the applicable statutory VAT.
- Local tax: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the legally required tourism tax (local tax) is not included in the room price and will be charged separately per person/night.
- Additional services (e.g. sports courses, equipment rental, massages) will be charged separately.
4. Use of Sports and Wellness Facilities
- Use of the wellness area (sauna, pool, etc.) and fitness rooms is at the guest’s own risk.
- The Hotel is not liable for accidents caused by improper use of equipment or overestimation of the guest’s physical abilities.
- Opening hours of sports facilities may vary seasonally; there is no entitlement to 24-hour availability.
5. Cancellation Policy (Withdrawal by the Guest)
Unless otherwise stated in the offer, the following cancellation fees apply in accordance with Austrian hotel contract conditions:

Recommendation: We strongly recommend taking out hotel cancellation insurance (e.g. European Travel Insurance) in order to avoid costs in the event of short-notice cancellation (e.g. due to injury or illness).
6. Sports Equipment & Ski Storage
- The Hotel provides appropriate storage facilities for sports equipment (skis, bicycles, hiking equipment).
- The Hotel assumes no liability for theft or damage to sports equipment stored in common areas unless caused by gross negligence on the part of the Hotel. We recommend securing all equipment properly at all times.
7. Arrival and Departure
- Check-in: From 3:00 PM
- Check-out: Until 10:00 AM
- In the case of planned arrival after 6:00 PM, we kindly ask for prior telephone notification.
8. Liability
- The Hotel is liable for items brought onto the premises only within the framework of the statutory provisions (§§ 970 ff Austrian Civil Code – ABGB).
- Liability for valuables, cash, and documents only applies if they have been deposited in the hotel safe for safekeeping.
9. House Rules & Sportsmanship
Sporthotel Heiligenblut values respectful interaction. In the event of serious violations of the house rules or disturbances to hotel operations, the Hotel may terminate the contract without notice.
10. Final Provisions
- Place of jurisdiction: Competent court in Spittal an der Drau
- Austrian law shall apply exclusively.
